Questions about the forum

Hi there,

the new forum format is different and there are some challenges so I'm opening this thread to any questions about how to use it.
Please post your questions here and I'll try my best to answer them.

Go back to the tried and tested version.

Hey guys,

Unfortunately, we won't be going back to the old version. Sorry for any inconvenience.

If you have specifics of the issues we can look into that will be helpful.

Because of the rude manner in which this new format was introduced it has lost a number of its long-standing members to the new Antara Owners forum on Proboards. Those members were invariably the ones who went out of their way to help Newbies with their queries. A great shame but someone abroad clearly thinks it is progress and a way to gain a dollar.

I had my isues with the new board and communicated them to the Admin but there's not going to be any changes made so I've refrained from posting since. It costs money to host this board and members pay nothing to join so it is funded by advertising. The company that took over no doubt attracts a certain amount of revenue based on the combined footfall of the boards they own but if this one falls below a certain level they might just pull the plug on it. That would be a shame really because there's a good knowledge base on here to be accessed.

I wish you all well and hope the board recovers.

we're not pulling the plug on this site but ads do help keep it up.
We did need to convert the site to keep it updated, and we do apologize for the lack of warning.

if you have issues with using the board that you need help with, you can either send us a PM:

http://www.antaraownersclub.com/foru...e.php?do=newpm

we can answer one on one.

Or post your inquiries on the threads (preferably in this section). we'll try our best to answer.
The site is now on a more sustainable server but it's going to take some time to fix the kinks since we converted the site to a whole new forum software, webwhiz to vbulletin.
it is better for security updates and software upgrade.
The layout is suppose to be more modern and while I know people don't like change, it happens and I think it just takes some time to get used to.

All the owners club forums have been updated including the Evoque one which im also a member of.

TBH i dont see what all the fuss is about. Over on the Evoque forum we had a couple of small issues but now everyone has just accepted the change and carried on enjoying the forum for what it is without causing any drama.. I really cant see what all the fuss is about guys. By not using the forum you might and up losing the use of it altogether.
