Hi all, newbie to the site so sorry if this has been covered before, I bought the car(2013 SE Nav) for towing our caravan and also for my wife to commute, the only worry (so far) is that the doors don't lock automatically at a low speed as on other cars, is there a mod that can be done to make this happen? Also the same question with the folding mirrors not folding when locking the car.

The answer is No to both questions unfortunately, see previous posts

One members wish list included::

Proper "auto" headlights

Memory on the electric seats... that's 2 electric, passenger
too

Heated rear seats... the kids would like warm bums too, and
the ix35 has 'em

Combine the sat nav screen and computer screen, and put them
somewhere you can see them

Child locks controlled same as rear windows (the wife's 5008
does this)

Full sized spare wheel

Windscreen demister that doesn't sound like a hurricane... a
gentle continuous breeze to keep it clear

Better MPG

A first aid kit under the first aid sign!

Alarm that doesn't trigger randomly

Sat nav voice that isn't so severe... EMMM 1... get's a
little annoying, was she mad that day?

Sat nav that consistently tells you the motorway junction
you're turning off at.. seems random if it decides to do that

Traffic warnings that are useful, "M1 queueing traffic
for 5 miles" would be a whole lot more useful if it told me in which
direction.. northbound or southbound?

Mapping that isn't 3 years out of date... who would pay to
renew the maps? The new A1 in North Yorkshire
has been there for years... the sat nav says I drive in fields!

In fact, just replace the whole bloody sat nav and install a
£99 one from Garmin or TomTom.. would probably be clearer, better touchscreen
and more up to date.

Auto-handbrake... switch ignition off and handbrake
auto-engages

Seatbelt indicator. Again, the wife's pug has an indicator
showing the seats and which belts aren't in, very useful with kids

Speed limiter

Steering wheel extends further towards driver

Auto-locking doors when moving off

Phone can be controlled from steering wheel (dialling, not
just answering)

Permanently lit dashboard, pain not being able to see dials
on sunny days with sunglasses on

Tyre
size that is available at chain tyre services, not special order

Mud flaps and side steps

That is a good wish list; just got to find an extra £15k for the car.

True auto headlights are easily sorted by a competent VX dealer. I arranged this through Vauxhall UK, FOC. They now do what the OM says they should.
Push the button and the mirrors fold in - it's easy.
First Aid kit is a good one, as are mud flaps.
Anything that discourages the driver from using a phone whilst driving has to be good.
I find the satnav pretty good - it's just the screen is in the wrong place!
If you have a full-size spare then the tyre size doesn't matter; the chains order them in pretty quick anyway.

Victor - has your post now got a load of gobbledegook at the end of it? It has on my screen, after 'mud flaps and side steps'.

Yes it's on my screen as well. I copied and pasted the text from that other post but pasted it into a Word document so I could edit it if required before I copied and pasted it in here. I can only assume the gobbledegook has something to do with that even though I used Paste - Special - Unformatted Text to paste it into Word.
