Whats all this then, I said to myself when I was having an hours fun this morning changing the LED side lights that lasted a year! (You just cant get cheap Chinese crap to last long these days, maybe the yanks just wait for those Chinese islands built in the South China sea to just sink as most of their stuff lasts about a year!))Anyway fighting to get the headlights out... I found a heap of wires leading to a black box hidden under the battery tray behind the washer battle. I decided to ask Mr Google as I was doubtful it was a VX fit due to the amount of spare wire wrapped up and the unit in a clear plastic bag to protect it, was it an alarm, was it an insurance big brother box?
No it turns out to be the aftermarket front sensors that were fitted to the car (which I never switch on)
So sadly no conspiracy theories like no moon landings, 9/11 was an inside job or Lady Di was rammed off the road. Stillit passed a few mins of my time.... Which could have been spent changing the oil on the bike which is proving to be a nightmare, another story for another day that one

Anyway a few pics of the offending item.

Given your previous profession Volrider,
shouldn't there have been an “Ello Ello Ello” at the beginning of your post or
is that just understood to be there, same as the helmet and the chin strap?

I always fancied DRL's on the Antara but never got
round to fitting them despite BJS helpful hints, tips and wiring
diagrams. What put me off was the thought of having to replace the whole light
because one or two filaments burned out and this would be an MOT failure (first
MOT due this year).

I was reading over on HJ's about an Audi
owner with a 2009 TTs that was initially
looking at 800 to replace a full headlight because the DRL's were part of it.
The dealer cut him a break and offered to do it for 560 as a goodwill

Speaking of MOT's I'll need to be getting underneath
mines to check it out while it's still summer and plenty of daylight. I know my
rear silencer probably needs some attention, hopefully cosmetic and I'll need
to check out the rest.
