It's one of the bugbears of the modern age Volrider, internet shopping. I've lost count of the sites I've seen advertising Antara parts saying "Fits 2007 - 2015 models". Don't you know there's a massive difference between the Series 1 and the Series 2?
If it's any comfort to you the Toyota garage fitted the wrong rear wiper blade to my wife's car when it was in for a service. It doesn't exactly inspire confidence does it?
Nothing to beat having a motor factors locally where you can take the old part down and physically compare it to the part they're selling you. I've heard numerous cases, however, where aftermarket sensors eg MAF, MAP, Cam and Crank sensors just don't work right on various models of car. You're actually better off buying a 2nd hand genuine OEM sensor than a cheap pattern one.
