Whent to local dealers looking a new 1.2t Crossland .due to selling caravan don't need a big car to tow with .
Was offered £6.750 for my 64 plate antara 23k miles .was told it was low due to no resale market .
What a rip off

That's a ridiculous price for your Antara Swinton, I'm sure you could get more than that selling it privately. Didn't know you were giving up the 'van, it'll certainly make it easier to pick a replacement car. What did you think of the Crossland then?

We sold the antara about 4 months ago now . SE NAV 2013 186 bhp with the same miles as you . Best they could get us was £8000 but some of the smaller garages they sell on to didn't want it . the Mini Countryman is fantastic with the 1.5 3 cyl turbo petrol engine . We get about 5 mpg better and it is 4 wheel drive . I haven't towed the caravan with it yet but solo it is a match for the antara with the bonus you can take the revs up if you want . We looked at the crossland but the mokka looked a better built car .
I still pop on here from time to time so will post when I have the first tow with it . Not sure what your budget is and minis aren't for everyone but with the discount and resale value of them they make a good buy .

The Mitsubishi ASX is worth a look for a small SUV. I test drove the 1600cc petrol version before I bought the Antara and was quite impressed

There was a 63 plate Antara in the VX dealer I was at, selling for £8.5k. Mine was 65k miles on the clock and 5 years old though so not like a lot of the low mileage Antaras around. I got what I expected tbh, its always a game of cat and mouse of course.

Happy driving with the Mokka!
