Thirsty passed MOT last week but tester said front sidelights don't work, they are auto's. Turned it back to auto after he had turned it to manualand showed him and got thumbs up. Now they don't work even on manual. Any ideas before I take them out to investigate.

Were the auto headlamps reset by Vauxhall to become true auto lamps, to switch relative to daylight conditions as described in the OM? Do the tail lamps work as they should?

Tail lights are fine and headlights were not reset. They are as they were set when built. Now the front sidelights don't work at all. Have some spare bulbs so will swap them tomorrow. Seems odd how both have stopped working together on auto and manual.

Been on night duty so not had time to check them out. Am off tomorrow so if the rain holds off it will be out with the headlights and pop new bulbs in to find out.

It was the bulbs. Can't complain as they have been in two Zafiras and Thirsty in four years.

Just weird how they both failed at the same time. Also there was no notification on the bc display unless the bulb check has not been activated.

That's a new one to me. Are you supposed to get notice of bulb failure on the Antara? I had my BC activated, got BC1 and 2 now but I've never seen anything about bulb failure notifications. Or would it be on the main instruemnt panel/
