Welcome to the forum neiljd. Ther are various opinions regarding warranties on the forum; have a trawl through using the 'search' facility. Do make sure you cherish the DPF and follow the instructions for it closely and I suggest you use the best quality fuel you can afford. Also, avoid frequent short hops like the plague.

Mmmm. It might be worth it at £8 per week for the first year, but I wonder what it will be for the subsequent years as the risks increase. We know that the retail costs of major repairs/replacements are horrendous as our colleagues have reported, but I haven't a clue what the true costs are. Also, the range has been discontinued for a couple of years and I wonder what the spares availability will be for (say) a smashed transfer box housing that cannot be repaired.
I think I would be more comfortable if Vauxhall UK ran the scheme - or Peugeot for that matter - as I have faith in both manufacturers. The insurance game is awash with different people snatching a commission as the punter's money passes their nose - for not apparently doing very much - and I have never met a poor broker yet; but it seems there is no way around that. A bit like building societies now.
