Hi
I've just bought castrol c3 5/30 off the internet
(Euro Car Parts) and they sent me the stop start version.
Can I still use it as mine is not stop start.
I actually can not find anything on the internet about this subject even on Castrols page.
This is the reply I got from Euro Car Parts and I don't really understand what they are
Saying ?

Thanks for your email

I am sorry to hear that, i can confirm the item sent was correct due to a packaging change from our suppliers

The stop start does not refer to engines which have stop start, it was just added by the supplier to the packaging.

Please let us know if there are any problems

Apologies for any inconvenience caused

Regards

Never heard of it. However, if you look on Castrol's website there is an oil selector to suit your vehicle. A number of different Antaras are listed:

http://applications.castrol.com/oilselector/en_gb/

Interestingly, the stop/Start oil is designed to reduce the 'extra engine wear' from using stop/start. Hmmmm

Ever read such absolute tosh between ECP and Castrol. The Stop Start they're referring to - is ti stop start city driving? And it gives you 20% more protection???? So they had 20% up their sleeves when they started flogging the Magnatec? This is just unbelievable and at £44.95 a can they really have us over a barrel. Easy to see where this is going

Off topic slightly, I always turn my stop/start off,as I think it will extend my engine life. The advert for magnatec, some years ago, said nearly all the wear in an engine was at the start of the journey (or starting the engine) so the magnatec had a film that permanently stuck to the internals.

My wife says that I never listen or something like that !
