Hi i am new on here and looking for some help, i need a new drivers side cv boot for my 2013 and its in the garage now and they are saying the universal cv boots dont fit so need to buy a whole new arm which is £400.

Hi have you looked on eBay I think the Chevrolet Captiva have the same shafts
Someone will come on this thread with more info

Is your car the 2 wheel or 4 wheel drive? Manual or automatic transmission? You should put your car details in your signature box, it really helps with any queries.

Some of these universal kits end up like one size fits all ie one size fits nothing but when you say the garage wants to fit a whole new arm.do you mean a drive shaft? Having a quick look round Ebay I see a number of 2nd hand drive shaftsfor sale but some look quite ropey. No point in buying smomething like that to pay a garage to fit it then find it's no good.

We had a boot damaged by the dealer when fitting new box and it leaked damaging the joint . I asked them to replace it free of charge and not just fit a new boot . They told me they will have to because you can only get the complete driveshaft. They did say they have done a few under warranty so look like a common fault .
